As restrictions have lifted, the sixth form charity committee started their fundraising efforts last half term. So far they have completed three successful key projects...
Firstly, a bake sale in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Secondly, Ashington and Bedlington Academy came together to raise funds for Cancer Research UK by running a "Who carved the pumpkin?" competition. Staff carved pumpkins and students paid to guess who carved them.
Finally, in the run up to half term, students across NE6 donated food for the Matthew Project in Bedlington. This charity delivers food parcels to those in need across the wider Wansbeck area.
